At Skardu International Airport today ( 15 May 2024 ), three PIA flights from Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad arrived simultaneously. 

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had previously announced that it would run twice-weekly flights from Skardu to Dubai, with the first flight leaving on April 29 and the first arriving on May 4. 

This information was provided by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Eleven flights were conducted between Skardu and Dubai at various times in the previous year. 

The only airport in northern Pakistan that can handle larger aircraft is Skardu Airport, which was designated as "international" in December 2021.
