Drones and flying taxis will be tested during this year's Hajj season, according to Saleh al-Jasser, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, who spoke to Al Arabiya.
Al-Jasser stated in an interview that "there is currently a lot of competition among various transportation companies to provide a practical product in the upcoming years."
The ministry needs to be introduced to these new technologies and choose the best approach to adopt them, as this industry is growing steadily.
Therefore, in order to take use of these services and ensure that the Hajj season receives the greatest portion of them, we must lead the way.
One of Islam's five pillars is the yearly Hajj, or pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia's Mecca.
Muslims from all over the world congregate in Mecca to perform it, and it typically occurs between the eighth and thirteenth of Dhu al-Hijjah.
This year, the Hajj season is anticipated to start on June 14.
