PESHAWAR: Syed Qasim Ali Shah, the Minister of Health for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, announced on Monday that since the start of Ramadan, 100,000 residents of the province had benefited from free medical care under the Sehat health card programme.
In a statement released today, he stated that KP residents admitted to various national and provincial hospitals received the care they needed, with 2.7 billion rupees having been spent on their care to date.He called the health card a gift to the province's deserving citizens and expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for bringing it back shortly after taking office.
In order to guarantee high-quality medical care on the Sehat card, the Minister stated that an evaluation was now underway to assess the calibre of hospitals that are registered on the panel.
Shah mentioned that the government hospitals' services had improved as a result of the health card.
