Ireland's men's team has stated that they will make their maiden trip to Pakistan in 2025.

Although the specifics of the tour have not yet been settled, Cricket Ireland announced on Monday that they will visit Pakistan in August/September of the next year.

In order to be ready for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup next month, the two sides are now playing a three-match Twenty20 International series in Ireland. Brian MacNeice, the chair of Cricket Ireland, spoke with PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi about the team's 2025 tour of Pakistan.

After Pakistan defeated Ireland in the second match, Babar Azam became the most successful Men's T20I captain.

According to MacNeice, the talks were constructive, and it was decided that Ireland would tour Pakistan the following year—the first time their players would travel to the Asian nation.

We had a really fruitful discussion with Chairman Naqvi, whom we are thrilled to have welcomed to Dublin. "The PCB chairman's visit to Ireland was greatly appreciated and serves as a testament to the excellent working relationship between the two boards," MacNeice stated.

"There was much discussion, including potential future matchups at the men's, women's, and Wolves levels. We were able to agree on a men's visit for the next year, which I'm extremely happy about. After our senior women's tour to Pakistan in 2022, this will be another historic first.

The third and final game of the ongoing series between Ireland and Pakistan is set to take place in Dublin on Tuesday, with the score now level at one game apiece.

"Over the past week, the Pakistani team has been outstanding as an ambassador for their nation, and they have been incredibly kind to supporters during their stay in Ireland. We eagerly anticipate tomorrow's series finale and, of course, our encounter at the T20 World Cup next month," MacNeice continued.

"Pakistan and Ireland have a long history of friendship in cricket; in fact, the two teams met for the first time in Dublin in 1962, and Pakistan has faced us in both our men's and women's Test matches.

"We are grateful for Chairman Naqvi's and the PCB's continued friendship and support, and we look forward to this auspicious tour."
